Gain insight into the latest cancer research
The annual meeting, held at Aarhus University Hospital, features a broad program including keynote presentations by Professor Ester Hammond from Oxford University and Professor Mattias Belting from Lund University. Additionally, you can attend presentations by a wide range of researchers from Aarhus University. The topics cover everything from surgery to immunology, radiation to circulating tumor DNA, and from the laboratory to current patient care.
The network particularly encourages younger researchers to participate with poster presentations, which will be evaluated by leading experts in the field. A prize for "Best Poster Presentation" will also be awarded on the day.
Signe Borgquist, one of the two chairs of the Translational Cancer Network, is very excited about the program for the network’s second annual meeting. "Once again, we have put together an exciting program that includes both external guests and a broad representation of researchers from Health. I look forward to meeting new colleagues and gaining insight into the groundbreaking cancer research happening both within and outside the faculty – much of which is certainly new to me," she says.
Martin Roelsgaard Jakobsen, the other chair of the network, hopes the meeting will inspire increased collaboration among the network's members, particularly in terms of grant funding and center projects. "It would be fantastic to address topics that have emerged across institutes and research areas but share a common interest in cancer research. I would be very pleased if the annual meeting could spark new interdisciplinary research projects that could lead to new breakthroughs," he explains.
