Quality/accreditation

The accreditation is an independent assessment of competences and ability to perform specific tasks in accordance with given specifications.

The international standards lay down requirements for quality management as regards:

The Section of Forensic Pathology and Clinical Forensic Medicine is accredited and operates under a quality management system in accordance with the international standard DS/EN ISO/IEC  17020: 2012: General criteria for various types of bodies performing inspection.

The Section of Forensic Chemistry is also accredited and operates under a quality management system in accordance with the international standard DS/EN ISO/IEC  17025: 2017: General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. This second version of the standard is adapted to the international standard ISO: 9001: 2000.
