I graduated as a medical doctor from Aarhus University in 2022 and completed my clinical internship (KBU) in Western Jutland. My interest in research began during my research year in 2020–2021, when I joined the ADMIRE research group – a collaboration I have maintained ever since. Through this involvement, I have gained substantial experience in experimental and clinical research within orthopedic surgery, with a particular focus on infection management and antibiotic treatment strategies.
My PhD project focuses on the antibiotic dalbavancin and its application in orthopedic surgery, with particular emphasis on the treatment of prosthetic joint infections. In a clinical setting, I will conduct a health economic evaluation and assess patient quality of life during treatment with dalbavancin compared to standard antibiotic therapy.
